Noor Jawad
BABCP Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist
My name is Noor Jawad and I have been working with therapeutic approaches for a decade, the last 6 being within cognitive behavioural therapy. I like to take a tailored approach to therapy, drawing on the evidence-base of CBT, whilst integrating other modalities, such a transactional analysis and humanistic approaches. I have worked with a range of clients from many different racial, cultural and spiritual backgrounds, and take pride in creating safe spaces where people feel able to be themselves.

This is when a professional commits to a particular code of ethics and values that are widely recognised. The professional has to show integrity in their practice and are checked by the accrediting body annually to ensure they are working within best practice. There are many therapists and coaches out there who may not belong to an accredting body, which means they may not be working within ethical guidelines, they may not have insurance and may not maintain CBT. You should be able to find an accredited therapist on the members list of the appropriate body, offering you peace of mind.
